Scope (Target audience) :This course is designed to meet the Bridge Resource Management requirements detailed in Section A-VIII/2 and Section B-VIII/2 Of the 1978 Manila amendments to the STCW Convention and requirements as per IMO Model Course 1.22
Bridge Resource Management 3 Days Course This course is designed to improve your skills and knowledge in vessel handling and effective leadership of bridge teams.
It consists of theoretical lessons supplemented by computer-assisted training and exercises on a ship management simulator.
The outcome of this course will lead to advanced teamwork training for marine bridge team personnel, improving the team’s ability to manage operational risks on bridges.
The Aims Institute Maritime Studies has a 180 degree visualization Bridge Resource Management Course with comprehensive bridge equipment capable of simulating some of the world’s busiest traffic areas.
The simulator is equipped with various ship models that closely mimic the behavior of ships at sea in different weather conditions.
Objective To improve the navigational skills of navigators, thereby reducing the likelihood of accidents that can result in loss of life, property damage, and environmental damage.
Deepen and improve the understanding of navigators in the handling of ships in restricted areas and the effective use of available technical and human resources.
